Our History

The earliest records and dates of the Butler Church of the Nazarene reveal the church's origins to be found in a revival in 1951 with Rev. & Mrs. Hoskinson. Under the leadership of District Superintendent Dr. Jarrette Aycock, the church was sponsored by the Kansas City District Church of the Nazarene and eventually organized on August 24, 1954 with Rev. Wallace Erickson as pastor.

Since that time, many pastors and their families have been blessed to pastor the Butler Church of the Nazarene. The Church of the Nazarene has had a positive impact and influence of the community of Butler and the people of Bates County.

On January 23, 2022, Pastor Jeremy Henderson was installed as the Pastor of Butler Church of the Nazarene. Partnering together, the church looks forward to the days ahead, united in love, holiness and missional purpose.
